Font - UNPOPULAR r/unpopularopinion · Posted by u/basnine ♫ 20 hours ago You're probably weren't the "gifted kid" you thought you were. Not trying to be mean, but theres 0 chance every second person on the internet was that "gifted kid" back when they were young - including me obviously.

Font - Newsflash: Being the one of the smartest in your elementary school classroom of 15 kids does not mean much. If you were truly gifted, wouldnt that mean you would continue to be above average as you got older?

Font - UNPOPULAR r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/RazberryJellyfish 6 days ago Stop telling people "just leave" when they're unhappy in their marriage. I mean why not try therapy? Don't get me wrong, if you're in a bad marriage, you definitely should leave. ^ But 9 times out of 10, they can't "just leave."

Font - Have you seen the cost of living lately? Couples are struggling to keep their heads above water, nevermind doing it alone. Rent, utilities, food, insurance, phone bill, moving expenses, medical care if you're sick, etc. People are already living paycheck to paycheck, most people don't have the safety net to just jump ship when things get bad. A lot of people

Font - don't have family to fall back on. When you're in a long term relationship/married, your lives and finances are entangled and it takes a lot of time and money to get out. And then don't even get me started when kids are involved. That adds an entire new element to the cost of having

Font - to leave. Sure, child support exists, but it's not instantaneous. You don't leave one week and get it the next. Hell, it can take years to settle it and depending on how terrible your new ex is, they may not pay at all. So stop asking why people don't leave, or telling everyone ranting about their sh y marriages to leave, because that is the reason.

Font - If you're in a relationship, things are tough at home and trying to branch out, just stop. You're lusting. Water the grass you tend to everyday and it will get better. It's not more green on the other side after you get past the point. Most people indulge, get caught, then come crawling back. Work on your home life instead of trying to play a game at work

Font - UNPOPULAR r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/No_Rush7657 quiet person 4 days ago Mod's Choice Award 2 3 4 2 I strongly believe that breakfast, often hailed as the most important meal of the day should be eliminated from our daily routine.
  • 10
Font - Instead of adhering to the traditional three-meals-a-day structure, we should shift to a two-meal system, with lunch and dinner being the only meals necessary for sustenance. This would allow for more efficient time management, eliminating the need to dedicate precious morning hours to prepare and consume a meal that may

Font - not be as essential as it is commonly believed. By embracing this alternative approach, we could optimize our productivity, break free from the shackles of societal norms, and challenge the established breakfast culture that has been ingrained in our lives for generations.

Font - OPINION r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/Mysterious_Arrival59 6 days ago S Too many people think and process emotions like 8 year olds I understand that when we're young, we perceive emotions one-sidedly: "this hurts me, so it is bad" and "if I'm good, this person should be bad". It's normal

Font - when one hasn't experienced a lot and doesn't see other people as the same complex creatures as them. However, I feel a lot of people continue with this mindset forever. I'm shocked by the amount of 30-40-50+ year olds who flip out at any hint of a friendship that is not forever, a love that runs it's course, some kind of dishonesty, some change of heart, etc. Yes, friendships sometimes

Font - end because people grow apart. Relationships end because feelings change. People lie for myriad of reasons, mostly out of fear. And anyone is allowed to change their mind about stuff. That doesn't make them a villain, it makes them human. Personally I think that if you're judging someone harshly, you haven't put yourself in their shoes enough.

There is no reason. Why are we keeping in touch. I no longer care about your life nor do you care about mine. Don't understand people who contact their ex 1-2 times a year just to "check up”.

Font - ETA: yes talking to your ex about your children is a reason. I was not referring to that type of situation; thought that went without saying. 2nd ETA: Thank you for the gold/all the awards in general. I did not think so many people would respond. I appreciate you all for coming to my Ted talk

Font - need to have a talent for. There is nothing wrong with following recipes! Just because you can't whip something up on a whim doesn't mean you "can't cook". Nobody is born knowing how to do that, it comes with experience.

Font - UNPOPULAR r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/ImperialMajestyX02 3 days ago Internship culture needs to die but experience... It's basically a fancy way of being an indentured servant because about half of internships are unpaid and the other half are very underpaid. It only benefits the employers. The requirements to get an internship are pretty much the same ş
  • 20
Font - as the actual job. The only difference is that the employee gets to test you out without needing to pay you. If ultimately they decide not to hire you, they can just "hire" another intern and release you. While you've just wasted months of your life being unpaid or severely underpaid, that company has still extracted value from you by getting work from you at a free or very cheap rate.
  • 21
Font - Internships should be paid at the same exact rate as the job opportunity you are interning for. So let's say you're a student and you're interning to be an accountant. Let's say the starting salary for entry level is $52,000. If you intern for this job
  • 22
Font - you should be paid at the same exact rate as a first year accountant, so in this case $1,000 per week. Not minimum wage and certainly not nothing! The internship system should adapt to this rule and if it doesn't it should disappear.

Font - UNPOPULAR r/unpopularopinion. Posted by u/Red Dragon1702 2 days ago S We live in a culture of toxic "independence" inconsistent with how most attitudes were like for nearly all of human history So people should honestly stop freaking out and obsessing with a way of life which is basically not realistic or rational with the finite resources of our planet and reality.
  • 24
Font - For nearly all of human history most people did not own properties but lived codependently and collectively. Just roughly about some centuries ago over 90% of all ordinary people lived in literally only one roomed houses and nobody complained about this. In the Agricultural Societies men and women often worked "unpaid" as you would call and sold, used or traded away what they

Font - produced on their own as you would call and this shows there was no such thing as gender roles in the sense of today with a provider/breadwinner role either. They lived with it fine until the day the end of their life periods and this was how it went for the entire agricultural period of human history. Nobody was treated less as a person by others around them just because they didn't own property. No debts or mortgages in the sense of today either.
  • 26
Font - The culture of everybody being valued as people for how much they can own or monopolise only started with the end of the 1700s mainly and into the early half of the 1800s. If every single person had their own piece of land can you imagine what would happen to the Earth? "Independence culture" is based on mostly a fantasy inconsistent with our reality. Something like that would only work in Virtual Reality.

If you think they'll make you successful, they won't. If you don't like reading, just don't read, you won't lose much. You already read too much just scrolling online.

Font - r/unpopularopinion. u/arkansasmf 2 hours ago Pedestrians are entitled. UNPOPULAR Posted by 2 I was driving through an outlet at about 8-10mph. A grandma was on the sidewalk waiting to cross, I drove past her and thought nothing of it until she gave me the most snide stare ever. Why should I come to a full stop for someone who's not even on the road in the first
  • 29
Font - place? I'm on the road and actively moving, you're standing still and not on the road. Just wait the couple seconds for me to pass, It would take the same amount of time for me to come to a stop if not longer

Font - UNPOPULAR r/unpopularopinion Posted by u/Chrisnyc47 1 day ago Telling someone they stink, have bad breath, or any other B.O issues should not be taboo. I personally believe that if you're not telling some they stink you're not being truthful to them and don't have their best interest at heart. I'd rather be pulled to the side and be told I have B.O so I

Font - can't correct the issue asap. I do understand that some people might see this as an excuse to be mean and hurtful which is why I believe it should be down tactfully and privately. I don't think this is an issue that should be danced around, especially in extremely hot weather.
